A plant  is  said  to  be  diseased  when  one  or  more  of  its  functions  are  interfered  by pathogen.  The  pathogen  is  any  agent  that  causes  pathos  (ailment / suffering)  or damage.  It  include  all  living  organisms  associated  with  causation  of  diseases, viruses  as  well  as  abiotic  agents  such  as  adverse  atmospheric  or  soil conditions. However,  the  term  is  generally  used  to  denote  living  organisms  (fungi, bacteria, mycoplasma  like  organisms,  nematodes  etc.)  and  viruses  but  not  abiotic causes.

I. MATURITY It is the stage of fully development of tissue of fruit and vegetables only after which it will ripen normally. During the process of maturation the fruit receives a regular supply of food material from the plant. When mature, the abscission or corky layer which forms at the stern end stops this inflow. Collins English Dictionary defines Concord as “the way that a word has a form  appropriate  to the number or  gender  of the  noun  or  pronoun  it relates to.
